Social Justice Sunday and Habitat Playhouse

Playhouse Build to Benefit Habitat Interfaith Alliance

This is my dream

Ready, set, build! We’re building a playhouse to benefit Habitat for Humanity as our 2015 All Church Justice Project. Shingles are piling up but we still need your help. Help build or supervise the build on:

  • May 23rd from 9:00 am-4:00 pm
  • May 24th from 12:00 to 4:00 pm
  • May 30th from 9:00 am-4:00 pm

Want to help with the playhouse auction on May 31st? Let us know–it’s fun and easy. Visit the Habitat Playhouse Project website to volunteer, get information on construction dates, pledge to help with the cost of materials, or to bid on the playhouse.

Bid! Bid! BID!

The winning bidder will receive the Playhouse (delivery in the Metro Denver area is included), and Habitat Interfaith Alliance will receive much needed funds to continue our shared tradition of building a Habitat home every year. Our 14th Habitat for Humanity home is under construction now, too!

Contact Molly Frank,, or Dan Moen, with questions.

Three of our Social Justice Groups are collecting your donations through May 31.

Inter-Faith Community Services is collecting food

Bricolage is collecting like-new adult and children’s books

Homeless Social Justice Group is collecting household items and necessities (children’s and women’s socks and underwear, pillows, blankets, comforters, towels and wash cloths, rugs, office supplies, kitchen essentials, toilet paper, paper towels, tissue paper, unused hygiene products of all kinds, unused over-the-counter medicines, large-sized diapers, baby wipes, baby formula, baby soap and shampoo, cleaning products and detergent, DVD player and children’s DVDs, brushes, combs, and hair products). Please plan to donate to make a difference for even more families!

Social Justice Sunday, May 31 at 12:30 pm

The culmination of our annual All Church Justice Project will be fun! We want to thank all who helped with the Habitat build and playhouse build, all those engaged in Social Justice, and everyone in the congregation, because it takes the whole church to make our work for justice possible.

Join us for lunch provided by Hospitality for a low price per person/family. Lunch includes burgers, brats, veggie burgers, sides, dessert, and drinks. Drop off donations. Stay for kid’s activities, opportunities to learn about our Social Justice Groups and Task Forces, and then pick up some Standing on the Side of Love items (buttons, stickers, and wallet cards!) provided by the Immigration Justice Task Force. Then, attend the Playhouse Bidding Finale and blessing of the playhouse, complete with a choir ensemble!

This is going to be good! We hope you will attend.
