First Universalist Singers

The First Universalist Singers are an un-auditioned choir of 60+ singers of all ages and interests. We sing repertoire from the many different periods of classical music as well as musical theatre, music from other cultures, and vocal jazz. We like to prepare large works and incorporate them into our Sunday morning service twice a year (September-May). In the past, we have performed Vivaldi’s Gloria, Faure’s Requiem, Jason Shelton’s Sources, Schubert’s Mass in G Major, Mozart’s Requiem, John Rutter’s Gloria and Requiem, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana and Glenn McClure’s Caribbean Mass for chorus and steelband.

We are a delightful group of people and welcome all regardless of ability level.
In 2007 we traveled to Southern France and Spain, and in 2010 we recorded a CD of Glenn McClure’s Caribbean Mass.

Rehearsals: Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary, and we sing during the Sunday morning services twice a month.

Our choir is conducted by John Hubert and accompanied by the charming Sarah Libert.
