Colorado and the KKK

From the Grand Dragon to known KKK appointees in the police, major and governor offices, Colorado once had the second largest Ku Klux Klan membership in the United States.  Discover the sordid history of the KKK in Colorado and the impact they had on Catholics, Jews and African Americans in the early 1920s, and the courageous individuals who fought against their establishment.

This series is co-hosted by First Universalist Church of Denver and First Plymouth Congregational Church. We meet at the First Universalist Church of Denver to watch and discuss a variety of films — documentaries, dramas, comedies, recent releases and classics — all dealing with subjects related to race, racism, and racial justice. All who are interested in respectful discussion of these issues are welcome to join in the discussion.
