Racial Justice Film Series @ First Plymouth Church | Cherry Hills Village | Colorado | United States

How have perspectives on race changed, or not, since 1967? That is the year Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, our film for this month, was released in theaters. We’re this adding classic drama to our usual rotation of documentaries. Come re-watch it or see it for the first time, and then join our discussion.

We meet on the fourth Monday of each month to watch and discuss a film related to race, racism, and racial justice. This series is co-hosted by First Universalist Church of Denver and First Plymouth Congregational Church. All who are interested in respectful discussion of these issues are welcome to join in the discussion.

We have a variety of films planned for the 2017-2018 calendar:

Documentaries: Cracking the Codes (2014)I Am Not Your Negro (2016)

Biopic: Malcom X

Recent Dramas: Loving (2016)

Older Dramas: Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner and To Kill a Mockingbird– Come re-watch classic films and discuss how perspectives on race have, or haven’t changed.
