About Us

Your Liberal Religious Home

First Universalist Church of Denver is a diverse religious community of over 600 adults and children. We gather around shared moral values that include the inherent worth and dignity of every person.

Together, we seek fulfillment through:

  • caring for each other
  • growing spiritually
  • growing intellectually
  • growing emotionally
  • living our shared values

Whether you are new to Unitarian Universalism or a long time member of the larger community, we hope you will find our church welcoming and engaging; a church in which you would like to become involved. Members contribute their time, talents, and money to support the church and its varied programs.

Are you looking for a church home where:

  • Members affirm the integrity of each person’s spiritual journey?
  • Members work toward a fair and just society?
  • You can join a supportive community for all ages?

If this sounds like a church for you, be our guest this sunday at First Universalist Church of Denver.

Conveniently located in Denver, Colorado at the intersection of Colorado and Hampden avenues, First Universalist has sunday services at 9:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (10 a.m. only from Memorial Day through Labor Day), and religious education classes for the entire family. Attending sunday services is a great first step in developing your own theology, and finding a spiritual path that speaks to you. Thinking of Visiting FAQ?

Recently, the Program Council (responsible for programs to help us Grow Spiritually, Emotionally, and Intellectually) conducted a survey of the congregation.  Click here for the full report.  The findings include demographics, church participation, church dynamics, beliefs and practices.

On April 27, 2012, the First Universalist of Denver Church Culture Assesment Study Group shared the results of their recent Church Life Survey with the Board of Trustees. The purpose of the survey was to gauge members’ reactions to a variety of changes put in place over the past 18 months. "Going in the Right Direction" may be read in full here.
